I am going to go to another pagan camping event, but this time I have been assured...IT IS a family event.

I am looking forward to all of the spiritual connections and always can't wait to hear how others came to the craft or their path.

I lost my password and have not been able to access my account since October!  (The password reset was sending it to a deleted account!)

But.....

Here I am.....Let the mischief begin!   (insert evil smile here!)

 I think Covenspace needs a live chatroom?  What is your opinion on the idea?

I would love to be able to chat with my online friends and gather ideas, recipes, and a laugh or two in a chat situation.

Does Covenspace already have one and I just don't know it?  If so, point me to it!  

As you all may know, my family and I attended the Pan Festival this year in Knox, Indiana.
What a disappointment. I went with the idea that it would be a week of spiritualism and new knowledge about the craft and other pagan ideas.
Well what it turned out to be was 5 days of hedonism. Which I don't mind if my child and other children aren't present, and if only legal adults participate in. And it should be promoted as such, not as a family event as it was.

After 3 days, at 3:30 in the morning in the pitch dark, my family and myself packed up camp and left. Not being able to take one more second of the depravity that was happening. Underage drinking and sexually explicit acts were more than we could stand. Not to mention the chopping of firewood at 3:00am by drunks with axes!

The amenities were atrocious to say the very least. EVERYTHING was dirty, showers, porta-potties, food area, main circle area, everything. Nothing was maintained or organized well. Any workshops was a person adlibbing and the spiritually found was a bare minimum and held by average campers who were forced to provide their own communing as nothing was offered by the event promoters. It was to say the very least, a sad representation of paganism.

So, I pose this question to you dear coven mates....... Does Paganism equal disregard of decency? Does being a pagan entitle one to drunken vomiting, sexually explicit behaviors, and genuine lack of common courtesy and respect.
I also want to ask if being pagan means wearing your 8th grade batman cape that's 19 sizes too small around the campground or dressing like it's Halloween just because you happen to practice the craft?
I have decided to write a book on the subject of paganism in today's world and your input would be very valuable.
